Formigny La Bataille

The Municipality of Formigny-la-Bataille managed the rehabilitation of the old stables located not far from the Chapel of the Hundred Years’ War.
These former stables were built in the second half of the 19th century for the mounted police that had just been established in Formigny.

To conclude the work and inaugurate this room, the Municipality of Formigny-la-Bataille and the ADTLB invite you to a concert given on Saturday June 25 at 5 p.m. at the Saint-Martin church by Francine TRACHIER , violin , and Laure COLLADANT, pianoforte.
Coming from a family of musicians, Francine Trachier studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, where she received a first prize in violin and a first prize in chamber music. She continued her studies in London with one of the greatest violin teachers, Mrs. Airoff-Dowling, who immediately introduced her to Yehudi Menuhin and Isaac Stern. Her activities have led her to play as a soloist with prestigious French and foreign orchestras and to appear in concerts in France, Europe, Russia and Australia. From 1989 to 2016 she was concertmaster of the Orchester Régional de Normandie, during which time she had the opportunity to work with Kenneth Weiss, Jean-François Zygel and Didier Lockwood. Since then she has worked intensively as a teacher and concert singer.
Laure Colladant made her debut in piano and harmony at the Boulogne-sur-Mer Conservatory and was a laureate at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris. She has performed in Holland, Germany, Switzerland and Italy, participated in several programs on Radio France with Rémy Stricker, M. Lovano and Anne Charlotte Rémond, made a great program on pianoforte with Johannes Carda for Radio Suisse Romande as well as for FR3, a film with Jörg Demus. In 2005 she was a guest of Jean-Michel Damian in the program: “Les Cordes Sensibles”.
Full Professor at the Municipal Conservatory of Saint-Ouen and of Chamber Music at the National Regional Conservatory of Caen, she enjoys bringing the benefit of her experience and research to the institutions where she teaches.

The program includes works by Beethoven, Chopin and Schubert.
Free. Free participation.

After the concert, a cocktail will be offered in the hall of the former stables (formerly N13).
